I agree and people change, unfortunately you might need to let go of the ones you wronged and prove your change somewhere else.
Sometimes people try to fall back on “they’ll forgive me” and they use that as an excuse in an attempt to avoid consequences for being an intentionally bad behaviour causing problems for a person they were supposed to respect. There needs to be consequences. Loss of trust, loss of things in general, loss of the person you wronged. On purpose.
Can the bad person change? Absolutely but they might need to prove it to themselves with another person.
It’s all about their intent of their actions actions.
