I always hated romance. It has become who I am and how people identify me. I never understand why people get upset when their boy/girlfriend breaks up with them or they have a fight. Growing up, I had parents whose story sounds too good to be true. They lived next door to each other, dated throughout high school, and loved each other. Happily ever after, right? Wrong. I had to learn that even if it seems perfect, years later relationships fall a part. People cheat and lie and can sometimes just plain mean. I have never dated. I have had crushes before, but that was back in middle school. My friends make jokes saying stuff like, ‘She don’t need no man!’ and I laugh but…sometimes I do wish that I could find someone who actually cares about me. Someone who i can marry and stay happily together. It seems….nice and less lonely.
