Only here to admit something that haunts me everyday. Growing up, we moved 2-3 times a year every year including new schools each time and in different states. Needless to say, it affected my education! I was taken from my dad (grew up looking for my face on milk cartons) but I wasn’t kidnapped. I grew up believing that I was kidnapped due to all of the moving and us not being allowed to have friends. My dad has a learning disability, I’m afraid that I have it too. As hard as I try I do not retain new material that I study. I have tried my hardest giving it my all 4 times now to get a GED, I failed like worst than most. I’m great with children, elderly, and seriously nothing else. I went through severe verbal abuse from ages 6-16 from my stepdad. Learned as an adult that he never hated me, he resented that he raised us and paid a lot of money out in child support and he wasn’t able to have his kids live with him. I now have a connection with my birth father, he was physically and s******* abusive with me until my mom took us from him. She didn’t know about that abuse, she just hated him because he was a drunk. He had PTSD that was untreated from being in the war and has since been diagnosed and treated. I’ve never served for our country but I only wish that I could learn, I want my GED and just one chance to reach for a real job that I do have talent in. If you read all of this which I swear is the truth, thanks and please don’t be so quick to judge someone simply because they are uneducated. I get judged left and right over it but I would never wish it on anyone else for its their future and the future is already scary enough.
