I am an 8th-grade teacher in a big city where students have to complete for the best high schools, or get stuck in a s***** public school. A large part of the competition involves my recommendations to the high schools. Over the years, I’ve developed a rapport with the admissions people at these high schools.

One student this year, who was a total prick just like his parents, did well enough on his entrance exam to get into the best high school in the area. But I call my contact with the admissions department at that school and quietly request that they deny this kid admission. So he didn’t get in, even though his family thought it was a sure thing. Now they’re scrambling to find a place to put their son next year. They are actually considering moving to the suburbs to get into a better school district.

They have no idea it was because of what I did. For the past three years, this kid’s been on a mission to disturb my class and make my life more difficult. I’ve wasted hundreds of hours after school dealing with and documenting his s*** – time I could have spent with my own kids. His parents are just as self-righteous and pain-in-the-assess as him. So I don’t feel bad about what I did. In fact, I kind of enjoyed the look on his face this Monday when all of the other students were wearing their new high school hoodies, and he didn’t have one.
