I’ve posted something similar before, but here it is again.

Went on an amazing date with a girl laste night, found out this morning she is religious. Christian specifically. I honestly have developed a prejudice and a superiority complex. It’s hard not to. 99% of christians I have met don’t even know their own history, and when it is explained to them they deny it, when their only understanding of their faith comes from what somebody else told them every Sunday as children. There is no thinking involved. That’s why people can underscore a section of Leviticus and ignore everything else in it. Faith is cherrypicking the things that make you feel good. Like part of the club that is right and everyone else is wrong. And it’s insulting for anyone else not part of the illusion. As a person who finds the history of Christianity fascinating and definitely full of questionable occurences in the inception of the compiled scriptures, and as someone who is in love with the universe, I cannot see why a person would cast aside their ability to reason just to feel like they are going to live forever.
