Me: You are “only 16”, you have not lived alone, you have not earned an income, by yourself to support you, you don’t know what it is like to live free from your parents and you worry about your s********?
As you rightly observed, it’s only somebody else’s labels, to put you in whatever pigeon hole they feel more comfortable with regarding you as and if your culture does not get in the way of who you can go out with and marry, why should you worry about anything.
Everything should be about personality and everything else should follow, but rarely does.
Because you like a person’s personality, irrespective of their s**, does not mean that you have that s** liking too.
It is like, you like an elephant, but that does not make you an elephant too, does it?
You have to find your own path and be whoever you want to be, instead of seeking out people of a particular trait, because you liked one, like that, as there are good and bad in any race, or culture and because you liked one, does not mean you will like any more, or be like them, at all.
You are an individual and you are unique.
Surely that is enough.
Let things develop normally as you grow older, keep your options open, don’t allow yourself to fit in any pigeon hole and keep the bugger’s guessing, as I do.
