we get cats from the neighbourhood visiting us. I sometimes leave food out for it. I forgot last night so I hope it comes back. I must remember to put food out every night. I feed birds here too and other animals. I just like animals I guess. I hate to see harm to them at all. I wish I knew who owned the cat because if it was my cat I wouldn’t let it out because it is not safe. but I feed them. I think it knows other cats are here and it can smell them or food. I like them. I must make sure I remember when I go to feed my own cats.

Cats are amazing but they’re also vicious predators. If you keep leaving food out you’re probably also feeding the rodent population. That’s fine for that cats, because they’ll come by and rip the rat bodies to shreds and devour the raw meat right off the bones. Just watch out for the day the cats get bored of you and you’re left with a handful of angry rats gnawing their way into your home.
