If everyone on this site would simply pray to the Lord God to forgive them of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ, the Lord God would hear and answer prayer and heal their broken hearts.

How do I know this is so?

Several years ago, I was an overweight homosexual with little hope. I spent my life trolling bars and trying to find s** – very hard in the gay community if you don’t have a perfect body. One night I left a bar and there was a man preaching on the street corner about God’s love and forgiveness. I was drunk and made fun of him. Instead of being intimidated, the man told me that God loved me and that I would be surprised at how much more satisfied I would be with life if I would only accept Jesus as Savior.

He handed me a card and told me to call the number 24-7 if I wanted to learn more about Christ. The next morning, I found the card on the floor and suddenly felt the urge to at least inquire about this thing called salvation. When I called, a very nice woman answered and listened to my questions, answering each one. She invited me to a church service that was not far from my home.

All kinds of people were in attendance: young, old, rich, poor, gay, straight, thin, fat, and all were smiling and welcoming. The pastor of the church spoke of acceptance and how the Lord didn’t care who you were, He loved you and wanted to make your life better through trust in Jesus. I didn’t know how to pray. I didn’t even know if I wanted to. But I talked to God that night and almost instantly I knew that I needed to continue to learn more. I went back to the church the following week and signed up for a Bible study group, bought a Bible, and began reading it.

Jesus showed me just who He was in the pages of His Word. I learned that He cared for me – and that He wanted to rescue me from sin, from homosexuality, and from the addiction I had developed with regard to s**. He asked only that I accept His forgiveness and the sacrifice He made for all of us on the cross. I accepted Jesus that night, and the people of the church rejoiced with me. The more I learn about God’s love the more I love Him.

If you have been feeling that life is too hard, I urge you to pray about it. Jesus tells us to come unto Him, and He will give us rest. He asks us to take His yoke upon us, for it is easy, and His burden light. By this, He means that if we just follow him and trust Him, He will ease our load. He will take our load completely and see us through to that blessed day when He returns for His people.

When others judge, He loves. When others mock, He understands. If you are hurting, please call on Him. He will hear and answer your prayers.
