I’m 21 and my parents are now getting back together after 19 years of separation. My father was neglectful during that time, did not pay child support, did not give me birthday/christmas gifts, had 4 other children with another woman and barely even spoke to me until his girlfriend & 4 other kids left him and moved to another country. So far, everyone has been asking me how I feel about my parents getting back together (expecting me to either be ecstatic or angry, depending on their knowledge of the situation), but truth be told I feel neither. He’s been so neglectful and my mother has had so many partners that to me it just feels like another one of her boyfriends and I couldn’t care less.
