I hate my mother. She neglected me as a child, allowing abusive men to live with us and putting me against my sisters. She has done so much, but it would take too long to outline it all. I’m now nearly 40,and she still hasn’t changed. She is engages in the same behaviors. What pisses me off is that she takes no responsibility for anything she has done because she believes that because God forgives her, it’s all good. She also now fancies herself an authority on God. My mother is not particularly intelligent and has, herself suffered through child abuse. Although I’m an adult and don’t even live near her, I just can’t make myself stop hating her. My grandma was abusive to me, but I was able to forgive her because she was remorseful about her behavior *and* she changed. My mom, on the other hand, is on her umpteenth relationship with a financially irresponsible man who treats her like crazy, has no opinions of her own (only what her man tells her to think), only talk about religion and remains incapable of empathy towards others. I feel so bad because you are supposed to love your Mom, but I hate her. I want to cut her out of my life
