My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years and even though we are only 21 I really want to be engaged to him.

I don’t want to actually get married until we have our lives together with jobs and a house etc. but I would love to enjoy a long engagement with him and just be able to show the world that he is mine and I am his. I would also love to be able to tell my elderly family members that I am happily engaged while they are still around because as much I can hope they will be here for my wedding, they may not be.
