A friend of mine, who considers me his best friend, told me he’s in love with me. I’ve been thinking of cutting him out of my life for some time now, though. Even when he burst into tears telling me he knew we could never be a thing because he knows I’ll never reciprocate those feelings, all I could think about was how much harder it would be to get rid of him in my life knowing how much that would affect him.
It’s a long story but he’s been toxic for a while, and I don’t know how long I can keep letting him isolate me from my other friends and upset me.
