Ha!

I am currently watching a documentary “Paul McCartney Is Really Dead : The Last Testament of George Harrison.

I am not a huge Beatles fan. I like their older bubble gum pop, rather than the hippy Beatles. But I figured, why not?

It’s basically about 2 supposed cassette tapes of George Harrison after his own attack and being stabbed by an intruder in his house in 1999. It is supposedly 2 tapes of George Harrison laying down what happened to the real Paul, and ALL the many clues the Beatles left in their albums. The artwork, and lyrics which are pointing to his death. He talks about John Lennon’s death and how John was feeling guilty about the deception to the fans, how he talked to George a week before his s own death about how he wanted to spill it.

So anyway. I’m watching this, and the get to Sgt Pepper the album. They are talking about a picture of Paul on the back of the album cover. He is wearing a patch that says “O.P.D.” which this George says (who they never authenticated as being him) which George says means “Officially Pronounced Dead”

Now… I am from Ontario, Canada. AS SOON as I saw that patch, I recognized it as an Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) patch. I had to confirm it though, and sure enough, that’s exactly what it is. Not OPD but OPP, which is also interesting. It’s an OPP emblem on a Beatles album.

So anyway. They lost me there almost 45 minutes into the doc. They almost had me thinking “did Paul actually die?”
