My brother told me once that he was pulled over by the cops. The cop asked to check his license and registration. My brother gave it to him and the cop said the registration was expired. My dad got a new registration card for the car but forgot to put it in the car. Bro was only a block from our house so the cop let him go. My brother wasn’t speeding or running stop signs or lights. And he certainly wasn’t under the influence. He was following the law. I should also mention that my brother is black. The cop had absolutely no reason for stopping him. Was it because of his skin color? It’s the only reason that makes sense. Or makes the least sense. Either way, thank God we’re not living in the south or this story could have ended differently.
