One time when we were eating dinner at the table I told my dad that my teachers all think I have something like dyslexia and my dad said that I did not have dyslexia and that I just was not trying hard enough to read well so it was my fault and he kept making fun of me for that and then my stepbrother told him to shut up and we all froze and then my dad said “excuse me?” and my stepbrother was like, shut up? It means stop talking. Then my dad said “Look everyone, the kid that needs to use sign language to communicate is telling other people to stop talking!” and my stepbrother was like, look everyone, the man who can’t even read the name of our street is making fun of his son for having difficulties in reading! And everyone froze again and then me and Liani burst out laughing and then afterward when we were in our room I told my stepbrother that my dad was probably gonna kill him now and my stepbrother was like, no he won’t, he’s too dumb to kill a person.
