There’s a local beauty spot that I’ve been going to in my hometown all my life. It overlooks the river where you can see the most brilliant sunsets. There are these stone steps that act as seats that go on for about 100ft in width and 30ft in length. This year some locals set up a group where they consider themselves the authority on how the place should look. They got sponsorship from a local company to pay some hipster artist to paint a mural on those steps. I hate it, the site is uglier now. So, I have been coming there at night and scraping it off and damaging it here and there with little holes so rainwater gets under the paint and raises bigger flakes off the stone. Thankfully they used the wrong kind of paint, they used paint intended for indoor walls. This comes off very easily, also other factors damage it easily; direct sunlight, rain, plants growing out of cracks, people walking on it, sand and visitors dropping food on it f.u[cks up the paint. I was doing quite well until they painted over the damage I made. But that’s ok, because it is easier to destroy something than it is to create it. I have time and nature on my side, deteriorating and chipping it away. I will keep scraping it off. Eventually, they will run out of paint and money to renew it. I will win. It will take longer than I would like, but that’s how most things in life go.

F-u:c:k this river group for trying to reinvent the wheel, it was perfect as it was before they got involved.
