Ok so if I had parents of this modern era who were not dysfunctional with helicopter parenting style and would have allowed me to date (even in my 20s)…I would of met the perfect guy and married someone I am more compatible with where we would enrich both our lives and help each other grow. Rather than go overseas met someone, chat over messenger for a yr, they come here we get married and four yrs later we’re parents. I’m 36 btw. I feel like if I had the freedom to be a normal person I would have met someone alot sooner than in my early 30s and I would of had a kid sooner and my life would be different in a good way.

i didnt know my partner had a girlfriend when i asked him out 3 years ago. he said yes and broke things off with her. he says he felt trapped in their relationship and that it was almost over anyway, but i feel guilty. they were long distance for over 2 years and only met in person for the first time a few months before i came into the picture. now we talk about getting married and i fear one day i will lose him the same way i gained him.
