I just graduated with a degree in chemical engineering, ( 3days ago) however I’m just a bit concerned about some of my former class mates. Most where great people, but there were some extremely bad eggs, most of my graduating class was stereotypically South Asian (Indian) Persian, Nigerian and East Asian, they were all cool. However it seemed that the white people in my major where the only ones who were racist and walked around with a massive superiority complex, simply because they were in an Engineering program, even though many of them dropped out of the program and the others who graduated didn’t even make it in the top 50% of the class. Our highest GPA’s were from 2 African Americans (both male) an Indian and a Chinese national. They were the top 1% of the class, it goes to show that all these constructs and barriers Europeans and those of European descent put in place are complete b*******, mainly because they know they cannot out compete other groups when on an even playing field. Eventually their time will pass and the world can progress forward.
