I regret feeling lonely enough to reach out into the world for another person as a partner in my life after becoming widowed.
I’ve always been the type of person who values family & relationships despite the challenges. To avoid feelings of more loneliness, I accepted his imperfections as another person struggling to b loved in a world full of selfish two faced, uncaring people.
Believing he was a decent man within his core as a human being, I seen what I thought was a guy who just needed a woman like myself, to help lean on temporarily to get back on his feet, not being a permanently damaged person not without desires to be the best person he could be.
It’s been a year & 1/2 now & I am feeling like he would rather continue to be a negative lazy dependent, intentionally not striving to once again be a stronger independent partner.
Although I’m sure his distractions did help me through the deaths of my whole family as I knew it for years previously… as my depression lightens from those experiences. I now am seeing & feeling, I’ve obtained nothing more than yet another negative relationship where I am most likely better off without
