The vax actually does work.
If you are fully vaxed with 2 shots, and then a 3rd shot six months after your second shot, you are vaxed. So what happens there is you can get covid and you can also transmit it but chances are pretty good. You will feel mild symptoms and you won’t end up in the hospital or die. There are those breakthrough cases where it might not work, but they’re rare.
And Omicron is more contagious but apparently even milder. From what I understand you have a bit more cussion with that variant as far as symptoms go if you are fully vaxed and boosted if it’s time to be boosted.
If you are unvaxed… Well that’s another story all together. You are dealing with a more contagious virus that can still kick your a** pretty bad even if it’s not as heavy. Masks work too. I am not that afraid to get it personally, I believe I had it at this time in 2018 and I am 3 months in to 2 shots, I don think I’ll feel anything and I actually believe that anyone be who was “asymptomatic” at the “start” of this in 2019, they did say that at the start, some people have mild symptoms, some are dying, the asymptomatic people also had it at some point before 2019. Closer to it, within a year. That’s what I think. I can’t see myself being anywhere in public even now without a mask. That seems crazy to me.
Don’t listen to the tinfoil hats about anything including the b******* about the vaccines. Get vaxed and wear a mask. Keep your distance.
