I hope comcare/government insurance burns in hell. I work as a physio and I have clients who usually pay for their treatment. The one’s with chronic conditions, who can’t afford treatment, can usually try to go through insurance. Usually private insurance companies are fine, but government insurance based companies seem to try their very best to stop clients from getting help. I mean, it doesn’t affect me either way, I still work and get paid from other clients. But for those poor clients who need help, it is an uphill battle. First, I have to provide them with an essay document explaining why they need help, I then provide them with imaging and actually radiology reports showing them how serious the condition is and they still request f****** evidence to support treatment? Who gives a s*** about the evidence. You can clearly see that their neck/back is fucked and it doesn’t make a difference on the evidence. When the neck is that far gone, nothing it going to cure it. It’s only managable at this point but they then that “Oh yes, fully degenerated vertabrae will be healed in 4 weeks.” The poor patient then has to make a choice. Keep coming and paying for regular treatments out of pocked, or just live the pain.
