Dear Nathan.

This is the only girl that talks to you at school (you may know me as Cogsworth). I’ve always been a little awkward around you, but not because I’m intimidated. It’s actually the opposite. You may seem like that to others, but I see the kind, compassionate, funny person you are. I really missed you over the summer, but felt kind of strange talking you when you hit off with Lexi really well. I tried to distance myself, but when you barely glanced over at me I realized my feelings hadn’t gone away. That I still wanted to be friends, or more than friends. When you and your “posse” broke up, I felt bad because they all had other friends, but you didn’t (sorry to be bluntly honest). I slowly started to sit next to you at recess. At art. At lunch. It was a relief when you started conversation (I’ve never been very good at that). I don’t want to just go our separate ways after school. If you’re reading this…you don’t have feel the same way, or even bring it up if you don’t want to.

Best regards,
You know who
