I’m currently going to be Grade 9 this year and after I got my report card, I realized I don’t belong to the star section (we have sections in our school, star sections have the class of the smartest students in the current Grade.) I placed first top in Grade 8 and everyone told me that I will belong to star section. I believed them but now I was so disappointed. Not because of them but because of my section. So in each Grade, there’s four sections in two sessions, the morning and afternoon session. Star section is in morning session and the first section in the morning. The section I belong was in afternoon, and the third section in afternoon. I’m very disappointed, I just cried earlier, because they never gave me a chance to belong there. I studied so much, I came through school problems, I was even stressed out one time because my classmates were not cooperating to the group project. I just can’t understand why? Our third placer belong to the first section in the afternoon. I can’t even find the meaning of why they did that. Why did they put me in the third section as the first placer, and the third placer on the FIRST section? I know it’s not a big deal but I have goals in life. One of my goals is to be in star section. It is because so I can stand up against my bullies on middle school, telling them they bullied the wrong person.

I don’t know how to be positive.
Things are way too bad for me.
Now I have to do it all again.

  • I think I know how you feel. Disappointments can slap you very hard sometimes. Try to see it as an opportunity. Maybe you will meet interesting people or experience something you never have before, because of your circumstances. And don’t do anything just so you can impress people or make them respect you. Your bullies might not care, even if you win a Nobel prize. It doesn’t matter. Just focus on becoming the person you want to be.
