As a child my mother was very controlling and wanted certain things out of me it got to the point that just to make her happy and be the person she wanted me to be I would lie to her. I lied to her all the time even over small stuff because it was easier then dealing with the consequences of telling her the truth. Even as a full grown adult I still lie to her one day my brother asked me why I lied. I told him I couldn’t handle my Mom going off on me and I was too scared to tell her the truth and at this point it was more out of habit than anything.
