I have to rehome my beloved cat because he is spraying everywhere, even though he is neutered. He has special needs and cannot be in a home with other pets. I have tried everything within my means to correct his behavior, but nothing works. I even tried putting him in diapers, but that’s no way for a cat to live unless they are incontinent. If I could afford a surgery to take the glands out of him that are responsible for spraying (and it not affect his overall quality of life), I would do it in a heartbeat.

I’m moving to a new state and the owner of the home hates animals. This person is BARELY letting my significant other have their service dog with us. No matter where we live, however, this cat will spray and destroy the carpet.

I signed a contract that states that I must return him to the shelter where I got him from, but I feel like they’re judging me. I will apparently be the third person to return him because of this issue. I feel absolutely horrible, like I am a monster and someone who abandons animals. I think that I’m evil and disgusting because I’ve failed my beloved animal.
