I can’t stand my mother in law and she constantly says hurtful things about me. At my sister in laws bridal shower, (her daughter) I accidentally made some hurtful comments about my mother in law In front of my sister in laws friends. It got back to my sister in law and she is so angry at me. I feel awful. I just really want to be liked by my husband’s family and I feel like I just made it worse. Guilt is a really hard emotion to sit with. I apologized profusely. I think I really damaged this.
