My GF is 18, and I’m 23. We live in different countries and have an online relationship.

In her country, age of consent is 16 and she first showed romantic interest in me when she was 17. Consent age in mine is 18. We already had a friendship when she confessed her romantic interest, and I told her that in my country consent was 18 and I didn’t want to pursue anything with her until then.

When she turned 18, I asked her if she actually wanted to pursue a legitimate relationship and she said yes. At this point, I have known her for about a year.
