I almost burned down my mom’s house today. I went over to feed her cat, and put a cigarette out in a potted plant on the porch in my way in the door. When I came back out, the soil was smoking and part of the pot melted. I put it out and bought her a new plant, but I feel so reckless and irresponsible. She trusted me and I put her home in danger.
