so my dad just got charged w/ attempted assault , he stabbed his roommate (he should be charged w attempted murder ) and i have bad ptsd from him and idk its just a lot to process

This may seem harmful to say, but one day he won’t be around and will never hurt you and anyone else ever again. That’s what I said out loud when I saw my father’s body in a chair 12 years ago. They didn’t want to let me in because he was badly decomposed, but I told the cops “I have to.” I went in, saw him with flies on him and said, out loud, “Now you can’t hurt me anymore.”
Good luck, you will need it your whole life if your father is going around stabbing people. XXXXXX
