I was born in the Faroe Islands by Swedish parents. I went to the U.S., and I told everyone a lot of stories because I was slightly ashamed of being different. I tried to sound American, but I thing my native tongue slipped some, and my new found accent was very thick with something foreign. Some seen me through, so I made up a bunch of random stories so it would seem slightly tolerable. Well, with this, they got way out of hand. I confessed constantly of my Faroese roots, but the stories get the better of me. I have some thinking I was South African, others German, some Finnish, etc. I just know it will come back to get me. I just don’t know what to do when it happens.
