I want to live on England.

I want to live on England. I want so bad that I know that I would live my job (that I like) and my boyfriend ( that I think I love) to live there even if it was to be a hobo. The only reason I’m not living there yet is because I can’t figure it out how people do that, how to they just change countries… If I ever so much as glimpse the chance to move to England I will live everything behind.
And I’m pretty sure I’ll be disappointed, but that can’t stop me.

  • Have you ever even been to England? I would recommend taking a trip there first to see if you like it. This will probably cost around $1000 for a round trip ticket, maybe more these days. You’ll need a passport, which is more money. Plus you’ll need money to ensure you have a place to stay, transportation, and food. You’ll possibly need to buy a certain kind of card for your cell phone to make sure you can use it overseas, or buy a new phone altogether for the trip. Really though, ONE trip probably won’t be enough to make such a life changing decision.

BUT if you do decide you want to live there, you need to research online to see what the British government requires for you to move there. I’m not sure, but there is probably a ton of paperwork to fill out and such, because remember you will be an immigrant. When my husband moved here to the USA from Europe there was a crap load of paperwork, lots and LOTS of fees, before he could legally live here. It took literally 3 years of red tape before we could legally be married and have him live in the US.

Then there is the trouble of finding a place to live, a place to work, and making sure you have enough savings to support you until you establish those things. You’ll need a new driver’s license and I don’t know what else (I was only in England for a short time and I never left the airport).

So, it is possible, but it is a lot of work and expensive. It’s up to you to decide if it’s worth it.
