When i was ten i did bad things with my brother who was six at the time. I don’t have any idea why i did, but i’ve been so eaten up with guilt that i have tried to take my life on several occasions. I’ve asked forgiveness from God, and i know he has, but i don’t think i can forgive myself. Do i deserve hell?

You don’t need God’s forgiveness and he’s/she’s/it’s probably too busy to listen to you and your little troubles, if he/she/it exists. What you need is your own forgiveness and to understand that everyone does things they are ashamed of. Even I have done things I am ashamed of and if you allow them to continue troubling you, you will never progress and you will never learn from them. You were ten, you were a child, you were curious, understand that.

If you’ve repented and asked for forgiveness, then you are forgiven. It is now time for you to forgive yourself. We’ve all done things that we are ashamed of, but we can’t change them. I believe that Christ died for our sins and his sacrifice covers what you’ve done wrong.
You didn’t know any better. Forgive yourself and if you haven’t already, seek the help of qualified professionals who can work with you to bring you to a point of acceptance and peace.
