We hear your name and freeze. We saw somebody that could be your twin on the street, and got paralysed. We miss you, I miss you. You had a huge impact on us, you know? All of us. You built me. You made me who I am, and I will forever be thankful. You stopped visiting me in my dreams a while ago. Why? Do you think I am strong enough to make it through life without you now? I don’t know if I’m strong enough yet. All I know is that even though I had kept you a secret, they know who you are now. That book you wrote to me, it’s all I have left of you, and it’s kept in my heart. No one else has read it all. Some have seen small parts, but I promise you, your secrets are buried inside me. I am being tough like you wanted me to. “Hurt them before they even think of hurting you”, you wrote. I never forget that sentence, they’re not hurting me any more. I’m bulletproof now. Missing your tight hugs, your soft hands. Missing chasing after each other for fun like we used to. You saved my life. Thank you, for breaking me, and building me. I hope you’re living the life you love, and loving the life you live now. I know you hated what you had to go through before. I hope you’re happy. I hope he makes you happy.
