I’m a lesbian and I’m a bigot. I’m terribly biphobic. I know it’s wrong and whenever asked or when I’m in a situation where it comes up, I always pretend to be inclusive and perfectly okay with it. But the truth is, I’m really not.
So yeah, I don’t think bisexuals belong in the gay community. When push comes to shove, they always retreat to the safety and public acceptance of heteroville. With one foot in the door of the heteronormative majority, they’ll never understand how it is for us who are truly on the outside.
I have this deep feeling that bisexual women just cannot be trusted. Yes, I’ve been burned. I was with someone and when she was faced with having to deal with is with her family knowing about us and all that, she fucked off and got together with some guy.
Again, intellectually I know that this is a fucked up thing to say and feel, but that’s how it is. I’ll have to keep pretending to be okay with it though, since in the gay community these days, you have to or you’ll be shunned. You know what, “gay community”? That hardly exists anymore. For us lesbians, especially. Now it’s all about being “queer” or eschewing labels altogether. F****** vague new age unique snowflake nonsense. Guess what? You’re not some kind of inscrutable super special and undefinable snowflake. You just think you are because you think you’re too good and special to be tied down by something as prosaic as “language”. Arrogant assholes.
God, I’m sick of this s***.
