Dear Austin,
Hatred is unhealthy. Living in fear is unhealthy. But thanks to you, I deal with both. I used to look at you like you were perfect, but now I can’t stand the sight of you. You have hurt me in every way possible. I have panic attacks when I’m near you because I am legitimately afraid of you. I feel sick to my stomach when you’re in a room with me and I jump if I hear your voice. You scare me. You broke me down to almost nothing, and now that I’m happy again all I get is death stares. You don’t deserve any attention from me. My life was headed down a very dark road but my friends saved me, not you. You just did everything you could to make it worse. I don’t care what happens to you. I don’t care if you graduate and end up with no one because you’re only friends with people that your current girlfriend associates with. You’ve cut your family out of your life. You’ve pushed everyone who legitimately cares about you away. I don’t care anymore. My life has turned around since you. I made friends. I found someone who loves me and would do almost anything for me. I got accepted into my dream school. My life is about to take off. I feel bad for you. I used to want you to turn your life around too. But you can only knock on a door so long before you have to walk away. I can’t care anymore. I spent a full year trying to help you, be your friend, and make sure nothing awful happened to you. But you decided that you hate me, and honestly that was the best thing you ever did for me.
