I’m a 26 yo male college grad raised by my Mom and ex-stepfather; normal upbringing. My Mom and I had a close relationship and I was one of her few friends; we shared everything together. We were a lot alike.

The last time I spoke with my Mom we got into the worst argument we’ve ever had. The following day she committed suicide by gunshot.

Forever, I will regret our last words together. I will wonder that if I’d spoken differently, more respectfully; withholding of my anger from a bad day at work that I would still have my Mom today.

I’ve learned the importance of always treating people the way you would want to be treated, and to treasure ever moment and interaction with others. Always be thankful, and in the moment. Love your Mother. For me, for yourself: call your Mom and tell her you love her.
