When I see overweight people, I think what they would look like if they would not be overweight.

When I see a person with some visible defect (crossed eyes or some physical disability) and notice that the person is having a poor self-confidence, I wonder how things would be if the person did not have that defect:
How would have people treated him differently and how would the person view the world differently?
If the defect was not there, would the environment have been more open and supportive for the person and would the person have chosen other directions in life?
Would they be in another type of job?
Would they have different types of friends?

If the person with the defect somehow got healed, how would he act differently? Would he then end up like other people who are just selfishly busy with their lives or would they feel sympathy towards those who are still suffering?
