I grew up with a deaf parent, taught sign language at a very early age. When I started learning English, I really hated it. I would sign to my teachers, friends, everybody. I just felt more comfortable. It felt like getting my hands tied behind my back until I got back home. I still feel that way to this day, I wish I could sign to everyone. I want more opportunities to sign to people.
