Over the last decade, I’ve gone from living paycheck-to-paycheck ($30K per year), to a comfortables, upper-middle-class lifestyle ($200K per year). I don’t know if it’s my change in economic status, or just the maturity of another decade, but I am not at all like I used to be. I listen to different music, I don’t watch TV at all, I’m hyper-organized, etc… And I’ve lost every single one of my friends from college and before. Some moved away, some just quit calling. The truth is, we have nothing in common anymore. And I think they resent my success.
