I hate how people act hostile towards suicide, people who are suicidal, and even people who have already committed suicide. Oh its selfish, you’re weak, its cowardly, etc. Hello? No seriously. Hello? Listen to yourself. Repeat those things out loud and alone. What on earth makes you think insulting and acting so negatively towards someone who already seeks death or already died is helpful? I know you are scared. I know the idea of a loved one leaving you scares you but your attitude doesn’t help. Whats weak is YOUR unhelpful fearful and knee-jerk attitude. Try finding out WHY they want to. Pry. Pry hard. Dont give up. YOU who insult them are the weak one. You are frightened and instead of being brave and seeking the reasons you rather hide behind the “you are weak, selfish, a coward” wall. Be brave. Find out why. Pry. Dig. Press. Be there for them. I would even encourage reading their diary or journal if they have one. Obviously dont let them find out but do what you can and go all out to find out why and SAVE them. They need to be rescued not yelled at.
