I took a drive the other day.

I saw a car across the way.

The young man in the car took a glance.

He scouted out for his chance.

He slipped his finger in such a sly way.

Up his nose to no dismay.

I watched him dig and turn and dig.

To some avail he achieved a sprig.

Green and salty and sometimes sweet.

He ate his prize and delightful treat.

Nostalgia struck of days so fair.

Of when those goobers had no hair.

Why don’t I eat those any more.

I was never so afraid of this action before.

Has so society become so dreadfully prude?

That they would consider this act so rude?

I miss days we held so dear.

Our only risk was a slight sneer.

Then again it’s not so bad.

There are younger ones that know of the boogers to be had.

The cycles continues and the fingers are thinner.

There are some days when the little ones pick a winner.

I look at young ones’ fountain of bloody flow.

I realize that I am now… Content?
