I have a friend who falls for every single hoax that comes her way on the internet, and instantly shares it before she does any research to see if it’s true. She’s one of those people who loves to spread fear, anger, and hatred. It has always annoyed me SO DAMN MUCH but I’ve never said anything to her via facebook (which is where she shares these posts) because I didn’t want to make her look or feel stupid.

Well, today we were talking about grocery shopping, and she got started on the hoax about the Pepsi cans that leave ‘ Under God’ out of the pledge of allegiance. I was tempted to just let it slide, but I instead told her it was a hoax, and that it was actually her favorite soda company that committed this “monstrosity” around ten years ago, NOT Pepsi.

It was surprisingly satisfying to prove her wrong.
