On the website Pinterest I join public ” Fashion ” boards filled to the brim with awful chevron prints and things of that genere. The reasons I do so is so I can slowly add different fashions and sub cultures of style, so far I have been slowly pinning: Gothic, Punk, Grundge, Indie scene, Boho, Indie, Skater, Retro, Alternative, Girly, Vintage, Hippie, and Pastel Goth inspired fashions. So far I have gained about forty followers from one board in about a hour. The reason I’m doing this isn’t because I want to force them into somthing new but because I want to expose them to a whole new world of self expression and creativaty. The first time I did this I slowly added in the new styles and pretty soon the other people on the board began to follow my account and re-pin tons of my pins. Eventually I could open up the board and find that my fellow pinners had blended the past styles with the new ones! I felt amazing because they had blended the past styles so tastefully and became more open minded to new things.
