Two men were attempting to talk to me to tell me that they thought it was cool how I have a cat and a two dogs that get along. They speak Spanish, only Spanish. I speak English and Spanish. They don’t know that. They were struggling trying to explain what I mentioned earlier with few hard to understand English words. “Es friends? Ya, we like it.” I just smiled said yes, they are friends and said thank you because they were admiring my animals. Then they walked away because of the language barrier. I COULD have spoke up and said “oh I speak spanish, blah blah blah, talk normally to me!” But then, they would bug me regularly because they’re my new neighbors. I swear a gang lives in that apt so maybe It’s best I just don’t say anything in the first place. I was not mean, just less attentive than I normally am. And that’s because it’s at my home where I want to make the least amount of effort for other people. This is my domain. Alone time. Do not disturb even if you are living right next to me. Lol Sorry. I just feel a bit guilty about not helping them and listening to them gumble their words. Meh. Nothing personal, I’m just not social.
