I’m scared knowing that racism still exists today. There are actually people who scorn mixed race couples. I didn’t even think about mixing races as a bad thing, it just never occurred to me that someone would have to stay in their race for a relationship to work. I was blown away and unprepared. It makes me feel cut off, or just weird thinking that there is even a difference in people in the first place. It’s an unnecessary wall that others are trying to give me and I don’t want to see other people that way. I don’t see a race, I see a human face. Don’t try and make me see people the way you see races. It’s unfair, illogical, and sad. And I don’t need that!
