A few days ago I figured out my 19 year old cousin is gay. Which, I wasn’t supposed to figure out. You see, he told my sister this (who is close to his age) that he was gay, and she couldn’t feel the guilt anymore so she told me. I absolutely cannot tell anyone. Family members have expected this for years because of the way he talks, or his Facebook statuses. But they haven’t actually expected it in real life. You see I can’t tell anyone this because his mom (so my aunt) is really religious. It’s obvious that he’s afraid to be hated by his mother. And he’s been distant towards his family for years. I really want to help him out with this but I can’t because I’m not supposed to know that he’s gay. But hopefully when he comes out to his mom she won’t abandon him and hopefully she will care for him the same way she does now.
