There’s a malicious voice in my head that sneers, “Your mother never loved you! How could anyone else? You aren’t worthy of love. You aren’t enough. You will never be enough. Not for anyone.”
I want to scream and cry. I want to throw a tantrum like a child, to kick my feet and scream, “No! It isn’t true!”
But I don’t. I keep my mouth shut, and I keep the voice inside.
