I always wondered what the significance of a soul mate was. I didn’t think people could find their soul mates, and if they did it was very rare. In my short life, I’ve come to realize that our soul mates are not always whom we spend the rest of our lives. They appear and set a fire in you that can never be put out. I’m happily engaged to the love of my life, and yet this other person’s fire still burns so hot inside of me. I’ll never forget our memories, and I cherish them quite so. He knew it too, he told me that he loved me and cherished me to the heavens above. Although I kind of think he knew how it was going to turn out. I’m sure for my future husband there is someone who he also holds so near and dear to his heart in that way. I’m sure everyone does actually….we just learn this lesson I guess.
