My grandfather passed away 12 years ago. I was only 8 when it happened. He was the most important man in my life. He loved my mother and i. He protected both of us from my abusive, drug addic father. When he passed i became depressed. I still cant think of it without crying. It hurts just as much now as the day it happened. If only i would have found him a little sooner, he may have still been here. Ill always remember is words as he was being wheeled in to the ambulance. “i love you”
