I’m fairly confident that for the past few years, my family members have been convinced that I’m gay. I’m not actually gay. Every time I have a relationship, they last nothing more than a few weeks. My last relationship? Two years ago, and lasted two weeks. I’m always texting girls because they enjoy having me listen to their problems. I’ve always liked that. Nothing more, nothing less.

In reality, I kept a long distance relationship with a girl for two years. Everything about her was perfect. Witty, beautiful, and caring. We spoke on the phone, Skyped, and constantly messaged one another. Eventually, I made a mistake when I longed for physical contact (not s*****) with another girl. Just the feeling of hugging someone and just being in their presence. Long story short, she left me in anger and is currently dating another guy. We’ve experienced this before in which we wouldn’t talk for weeks, then spontaneously everything would be okay. This time, she moved on. I love this girl more than I could ever explain, and I know she still cares about me. We still occasionally message one another but it’s a feeling of broken love.

There’s no girl that I’ve met that compares to her. I’ve been afraid to tell my family and friends about her because I fear that I’ll be judged for believing in some sappy long-distance relationship. Since there has been no other girl like her, and I’m still convinced that someday we’ll be together, I haven’t dated any girls. When things ever start to become remotely serious between me and another girl, I always back off. From my family’s point-of-view, it would appear that I’m just not interested in girls. In reality, I’ll just never be as happy as I was with you.

I’m sorry that I couldn’t be everything that you wanted.
